The first half of April was beautiful. After the snow we had on the first weekend, we had two straight weeks of warm temperatures and sun. It hit 80° a few times. Since mid-month, it has rained every day. Here is a picture of just how beautiful it was outside this morning:

No, this one isn’t a new model, but a new car for Cindy! On Monday, she went out with her folks and picked up this cute little blue guy – a brand new 2005 trail rated Jeep Liberty Sport v6. I think she needs help coming up with a name for it.

It’s sad to say, but our Jeep, “White Lightning,” is getting kind of old. He’ll be turning 9 next month. We can probably get a couple more years out of him, but it’s time to think about what’s next. Unfortunately, there aren’t really any cars out there that we find to be a suitable replacement. Jess and I wished that they hadn’t discontinued the Cherokee, as we’d certainly buy a new one. Well, this fall Jeep is releasing the Commander, a Grand-Cherokee-sized vehicle with the styling of a Cherokee. If you ask me, it looks like a cross between a Cherokee and a Range Rover.
According to this review site, this new Jeep “is the leading edge of a Jeep product offensive scheduled for the next few years.”

This past weekend was Ruffin It XII – the twelvth edition of the annual pilgrimage to Clarion County, PA for a weekend of trout fishing, gun shooting, beer drinking, and being stupid. The cast this year included Bob Smith, Robert Smith, Jack Smith, Ryan Miller, Joe Baker, and Jamie Vacula. Ruffin It 1 consisted of Robert Smith and Joe Baker. Over the years, the faces have changed somewhat, but this years crew is the same as last year’s crew. Everyone but Jack and Ryan have kids now, so this may become a somewhat more family-friendly affair in the future. Then again, maybe not.
Here are a bunch of pictures for you to enjoy.

It’s been in the 60′s and 70′s every day for the two-and-a-half weeks since that bizarre late snow storm we had in early April. Hey, we even hit 80° once or twice. Now, if it was strange to have snow on April 3rd, what would you call having snow on April 24th?
This Saturday night it’s supposed to drop to 31 degrees, and they’re calling for snow showers heading into Sunday morning! On the news, they said “snow showers.” Seriously, check it out.

Some friends and I have been playing a bit of Quake III lately. When we want to play, I just fire up a server, everyone connects to my TeamSpeak server, so we can chat using VoIP while we play, and then we all go shoot the hell out of each other.
Here are some great screenshots from the past couple times we played. We’re planning to play tonight, and I’ll be taking lots of shots, hopefully I’ll get some really funny ones.

It was a beautiful day today! For the fourth time in the past five weekdays, we headed over to Robin Hill Park to walk on the trails. Today we took some pictures.

It may not be that obvious given the 4+ inches of snow we woke up to yesterday morning, but it will be getting warm soon. We’re back on daylight savings time now, and that’s a good feeling. It’s going to be 60 degrees today and 72 tomorrow.
I’ve dug up some pictures from one week shy of two years ago today. On that day, Jess and I went for a walk in Frick Park and I snapped some shots of the world beginning to come to life. Read on for the pictures.
