This is amazing. “Saturn is a source of intense radio emissions, which have been monitored by the Cassini spacecraft. The radio waves are closely related to the auroras near the poles of the planet. These auroras are similar to Earth’s northern and southern lights. This is an audio file of radio emissions from Saturn.”
Here is a link to the story. Make sure you download and listen to the .wav file. It is incredible.

Yesterday, Elizabeth from Cepstral had a few of us over for a barbeque at her beatiful new place. She asked that everyone bring their own meat. So we all did. Man, that was a lot of meat. Good thing Matt had his Treo with him to capture all its majesty.

Jess and I tried to go mountain biking at the Bavington State Game Lands (actually Hillman State Park) yesterday. Unfortunately, we found out that we are far to out of shape to ride the technical, root covered single-track when it’s soaking and muddy from heavy rains. We both wrecked a couple times before we decided to head back out to the easier field trails for now.
Here are a few pictures I took at the parking area and other fields.
